Durban July Dress Trends : next week the pressure to find a show stopping breath taking super trendy dress is on! But as always, we at Amanda Ferri always make the shopping and selection process easy for you by narrowing down trends and not so trends.
Whether you are dressing up for the Durban July or a glamorous evening event, listed below are the three top dress trends strutting its stuff down catwalks red carpets and boutique hangers. There will always be a bible of dress trends each season, but if have selected the top three which are the most popular and also styles suitable for different body types and shapes. I hope you enjoy!
One of the biggest dress trends at the moment, which has been worn by Beyoncé, JLO, and Kim Karsashian is the fabulously elegant look of white lace and nude sheer. The flexibility of this trend is that the lace can be which ever colour you prefer, but the standard look is more sheer than lace, and a fitted mermaid cut pattern. Most of the red carpet stars keep it stylish with long sleeves and nude heels. The best thing about this breath taking figure hugging style is the elegance that lace always bring to a look. A dress of this stature, is sure to turn heads at any evening event!
Next on the list of biggest dress trends, is most probably what everyone immediately thinks when they see this picture, Jewels covering jewels! Before we judge the appropriateness of this trend ladies, let us all agree that anyone arriving in a dress like this, grabs the attention of all by its statement, and the eye blinding crystals and beads that catch the light as you walk into the ball. This dress trend is not as flexible to work with, as the style has to be fitted, and paired with tulle. The idea is to cover just your jewels, with jewels, also the more bling the better!
The third and final dress trend is the oh so elegant tulle skirt. The picture I have used for this block actually captures more than one trend. We see the trendy tulle skirt, but we also the thigh high slit that’s seen on almost all Elie Saabs dresses. We also see the boat neck dress trend, and this look can also be worn as the very popular two piece! In fact this look has got to be my favorite, it speaks of everything feminine and classy.
If we have a quick look at the colour palette I have kept in theme, is more of a very neutral and cool hues palette. As much as we love a bit of bold and bright, it hasn’t yet found its way on the catwalk so for now we are loving neutrals, naturals, and pastels!
