Trendy Evening Dress Accessories
So you’ve chosen your dream dress and it’s the perfect style for your body type and it’s perfect for the occasion you’re going to. Now it’s time to choose your Evening Dress Accessories…
At the Amanda Ferri Showroom, we always tell our clients that “Accessories are a personal preference” and while there may be many types, colours and styles that would work for your dress, it’s really up to you at the end of the day.
When looking for your evening dress accessories, think of how you want to complete your look. Are you looking for accessories to dress up or dress down your look or are you looking for accessories to give you a bit of edge and make you stand out from the crowd? Whatever you decide, here are our top accessories trends:
The choker has come a long way… From being a top trend in the 90’s, it’s here again and is definitely a must-have accessory this season. Essentially, the choker replaces a normal necklace and styles range from a simple black band to more extravagant neck pieces. Chokers are the perfect accessory when going for a vintage look as they often come in intricate lace designs and in some cases are even adorned with beads and pearls. Whether your dress is casual or formal, the Choker is definitely an accessory that you need to consider.
If you’re thinking that “Duster” earrings are a new accessory trend… think again. Also known as “Chandelier” earrings, these are definitely stand out pieces of art. Their new name comes from the fact that because they’re so long, they actually “dust your shoulder”. A great option to accessorise plain, simple dress styles; duster earrings are must-have statement accessories. Be bold this Spring/Summer season and look for Duster earrings in bright colours and made with brightly-coloured gem stones.
It’s all about the Cuff
Get trendy with your accessories this season and add and arm and ear cuff to your collection. Ear cuffs are the ideal accessory to add a bit of drama to your look. A simple ear or arm cuff can change the entire look of your “girly” dress and turn it into a more high-fashion, edgy look.
The Rose Gold colour is still one of the biggest trends this year. It’s soft blush pink undertone makes it a must-have in the accessories department as it works well with pastel tones and neutral colours. Rose Gold is a great alternative to gold accessories because of the feminine side that it adds to any look. Whether its earrings, a necklace or even a clutch bag, make sure this colour is a part of your accessories collection as it’s here to stay.
